Catholic Life & Mission

At Our Lady and St Brendan's Catholic Primary, Catholic Life & Mission is at the heart of everything we do. We create a welcoming, faith-filled community where children learn about Jesus’ love through prayer, worship, and daily acts of kindness. Our mission is to help every child grow in confidence, character, and compassion, so they understand that their faith is lived out in how they treat others and how they contribute to the world around them.

Parents and carers are valued partners in our school community. We work together to strengthen the spiritual life of our children through regular opportunities for prayer and reflection, class worship, and celebrations of the liturgical year. Through age-appropriate teaching and shared experiences, children learn about the Church’s teachings and are encouraged to ask questions, make good choices, and develop a strong sense of belonging to God’s family.

We also support pupils in living out their faith through service, responsibility, and respect. Whether through school initiatives, community links, or caring for one another, children are encouraged to put faith into action. As a school, we aim to nurture a culture of hope and resilience, where pupils are inspired to be the best version of themselves—guided by the Gospel values of love, forgiveness, and truth.

Thanks to the generosity of our school community, we were delighted to raise £294.76 for the Good Shepherd Appeal this year. Through a series of non-school uniform days and our successful "Pay As You Can" book store, pupils, families and staff came together to support this worthwhile cause. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed and helped make a positive difference.
